Electrical Equipment Services – Weld Dept Line 2

Work with a world class automotive industry team to ensure smooth and seamless functioning of the equipment in your department using your electrical, communication and continuous improvement skills. Working with a team or independently your role will be to keep our lines running by performing PM activity or production call support during regular shift hours as well as off time hours (weekends, shutdowns, etc).*

What you do:
Strong daily PDCA activity

Effective core-time PM activity

EAMS (Maximo) data entry; document daily activity – EQ Change points, DT calls, PM closure, WO generation, investigation and CM activity, meetings, training and improvement activity)

Downtime Call Support

Daily communication (Shift start meetings, feedback for Planner, Production meetings, WO backlog reviews, activity coordination with other shift members)

Project and theme activity

Continuous improvement projects and initiatives (OJT and skill based, Self-teaching, equipment understanding, technical documentation creation and sharing, technical training)

New equipment specification review and support (Risk assessments, commissioning checks, Genba reviews)

Responding to DT calls, making repairs and follow up WO to ensure equipment is operating effectively.

Non Production activity preparation and coordination

Department Pride Activity

Department 5S activity (Maintain strong 5S for all equipment, tools and maintenance shop, maintain local parts stocking, emergency recovery tools)

Parts sourcing (Quote initiation, vendor negotiations, part specification)

Incident report creation (Take ownership of DT and complete incident reports, deep why-why analysis with root cause and CM development)

New equipment specification review and support (Risk assessments, commissioning checks, Genba reviews)

Support Reliability Group with proactive PM activity

Qualifications

What you need:
Industrial Electrician (442A) or Construction and Maintenance Electrician(309A) Trade License or Electrical Technologist with 3 year degree/diploma with related Post-Secondary diploma or equivalent work related experience

Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Must be willing and able to:
Willing and able to work overtime on short notice (pre and post shift)

Willing and able to travel internationally

Willing and able to support production weekends, maintenance weekends and scheduled shutdowns

Willing to work a three shift rotation

Willing to modify work hours and shifts on short notice as required

Additional experience that you bring:
Robot trouble shooting, manipulation and programming experience. (Fanuc, Motoman, ABB).

Automation equipment experience (VFD’s, Conveyor Systems, Pump Systems, Motor Control Circuits and Safety Systems)

Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics and ladder diagrams

Strong PLC system knowledge and ladder logic programming experience Proficient in MS Office – Specifically Excel for data analysis

Effectively utilize measurement equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures (Scope, DMM, etc)

Experience with Maximo System for logging maintenance activity and ordering parts

Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and transfer equipment

Project management experience (Ability to manage contractors and construction projects)

Equipment integration experience that includes installation, setup, troubleshooting and commissioning
