WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Supervise a small to medium size job shop focused on custom integration of electrical/instrumentation products in a climate controlled fabrication shop.

Development of quotes for custom and configured applications

Technical compliance to customer order/specifications

Provide application engineering for custom and configured applications. Including review and modifications of technical drawings.

Manufacturing process from raw materials to finished goods meeting production cost, delivery, and quality goals.

Work closely with sales and project teams to provide technical support and develop custom solutions

Design of custom fabricated products and provide technical direction and supervision for updating drawings. Ensure products meet approval agencies and local code requirements

Ensure manufacturing processes follow shop requirements and maintain external agency certifications. Including external agency audits and approvals for custom products

Develop and maintain shop standards for drawings, tests, modification, assembly process, and processes for specialty manufacturing

Provide inputs for the Material Replenishment Process (MRP) for all manufacturing items to help ensure that products are being produced in a timely manner that serves customer needs.

Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation (Routes, BOM’s, and Work Instructions for new and existing equipment in manufacturing).

Find opportunities for improvement to gain efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality, and achieve on time delivery to meet customer needs.

YOU HAVE:
Academic background in Engineering Degree preferred or P.Tech acceptable

Previous experience in or with 5 plus years of Custom Electrical Enclosures, Manufacturing, Industrial Instrumentation with 2 plus years of supervising employees

Skills Application engineering, CEC Code, Working with Approval/Certification Agencies (i.e. CSA), AutoCAD, and SAP

Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands: Physical capability of lifting of up to 25 pounds (11 kg) is desirable, Warehouse environment with temperature and noise fluctuations, periodic travel within North America
