Qualifications (Experience/Education/Certification):
Ability to read and comprehend written material, 1 years related experience, a valid Texas driver’s license, and work towards an Apprentice Electrician

Major Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Assists a skilled Electrician by supplying materials, equipment, and tools at the scene of jobs;
- Participates in stringing overhead wires and cables and in installing underground conduit and wire;
- Participates as a trainee in the installation, maintenance, and repair of wiring systems and other electrical fixtures, lights,
ballasts and electric or electronic equipment;
- Performs less difficult or routine installations and repairs of motors and generators, replaces brushes, bearings, and makes
connections and terminations.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work
cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
- Perform other duties as assigned, with a minimum amount of supervision
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Know the practices, methods, tools, materials, and equipment of the Electrician’s trade.
- Know how to read and draw simple electrical sketches.
- Know the occupational hazards of the Electrician’s trade and necessary safety precautions.
- Work cooperatively with others
- Understand and follow written and oral instructions in the English language.
- Perceives the full range of the color spectrum (Example: working with electrical wires)
- Perform physical inventory of materials
- Observe, compare, or monitor data to determine compliance with prescribed operating or safety standards
- Know electronic theory and terminology.
- Must have knowledge of the proper tools utilized for electrical purposes.
- Perform heavy manual labor requiring manual dexterity under varying weather conditions
- Required to use calibrated instruments to measure electrical current and voltages.
- Required knowledge to draw, interpret and read graphic instructions such as blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, or other visual aids.
- Required to install, replace or adjust light bulbs, belts or similar objects.
- Required to operate power driven machinery such as rotor-hammers, band saws, drill presses, or welders.

Working Conditions (Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Demands):
Repetitive hand motions; exposure daily to possible adverse weather elements for extended periods of time; must be able to push, pull, lift, and/or carry
at least 50 lbs. or more, with assistance. Bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time, repetitive lifting of arms above shoulder level, work in small
cramped areas, work at heights greater than ten feet.
