Overview

Essential Duties

Responsible for the total repair effort for engine overhauls and reduction gear rebuilding.

Provide on-site supervision for the Welders, Machinists, and Mechanics.

Professional and courteous customer relations skills.

Responsible for keeping the customer and Manager informed of the progress of the work and coordinate activities so that work is completed as scheduled.

Ability to work directly with customers to schedule required repairs as needed while in the field.

Maintain frequent contact with management to obtain approval for changes and or additions to work requirements.

Extension of management in the field.

Demonstrate leadership skills necessary to maintain motivation, safety and confidence among field crews, customers and management.

Capable of writing detailed and accurate field service reports and getting customer approval.

Expected to display a positive attitude at all times in front of customers, co-workers and others.

Possess loyalty to the company and co-workers.

Work to meet or exceed production goals each shift.

Responsible for company policy with regard to safety, work practices, workmanship and quality control.

Responsible for maintaining organized and clean work area.

Other duties as assigned.

Safety

Develop relationships with workers to better understand the processes and culture that affect safety.

Influence safety by evaluating safety performance, participating in safety meetings, targeting areas needing improvement and developing initiatives to impact the areas.

Perform site safety visits to monitor safety standards including:

Conducting safety meetings with the crews.

Completing Workplace Safety Observations including reporting near misses.

Thoroughly knowledgeable of Safe Work Policy.

Experience
