Vulcraft Canada, Inc, A Division of Nucor Corporation is currently looking for shop labourers/fabrication equipment operators to join our Leduc, Alberta team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The shop labourer/ fabrication equipment operator is responsible for safely assisting all Production, and Shipping Teammates in their daily task as well as helping to maintain a safe and organized facility.
RESPONSIBILIITIES
Work in a safe manner and follow all company safety rules and safe operating processes.
Assist with performing daily inspections on various pieces of equipment.
Utilize overhead crane and no touch tools to perform daily assigned tasks.
Operating forklifts as required within company safe practice procedures.
Operate shop equipment including but not limited to saws, ironworkers, and shears.
Capable of assisting with various areas of joist and deck production, as well as performing any other tasked assigned by your supervisor.
Maintaining work area and equipment in a clean an orderly condition.
Assist keeping the facility in a neat and organized manner.
Be willing to learn and help the team succeed wherever possible.
Requirements
General knowledge of shop equipment.
Good mechanical and equipment aptitude.
Prior experience in the steel industry is considered an asset.
Prior experience with CNC shop equipment is considered an asset.
High School Diploma.
