Responsibilities:
Understand and follow structural drawings, weld symbols, welding procedure, weld process sheets (WPS) to perform welding work
Knowledge related to the physical properties of metals, the effects of heat on metal, weld shrinkage, shop mathematics and welding techniques;
Use measuring and scribing devices, clamps and tacked welds;
To inspect welded details for imperfections or fissures in the weld, using weld gauges and weld defect analysis, and to make repairs as required
Adhere to all safety and communication policies
Maintain cleanliness of all equipment
To finish the fabricated component filing, grinding or scraping.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Arc or flame cutting equipment
Must be able to interpret drawings, blueprints and weld symbols
Apprentice Program and Certification in the trade by the Province of Ontario or equivalent, CWB would be an asset
Strong mathematical skills
Wage- $25-$35/hr DOE
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Experience:
- Welding: 1 year (preferred)
