Experienced Field Foreman (Welding )
This is an excellent opportunity for a long term position with a great company.
We are seeking an outgoing, team player with a dedication to providing exceptional service to our clients.
Requirements:
- Welding/Fabrication Journeyman Tradesperson (7-10 Years in the Trade)
- Able to lead a crew of at least 5-20 staff members
- Mindset geared towards safety, strong communication and problem solving skills
- Able to adhere to policies and procedures
- Positive attitude and able to work in teams
- Basic computer literacy
- Able to work after hours and weekends when required as well as out of town
- Up to date safety tickets in these courses: fall protection, mobile lift, confined space would be an asset·
- Additional safety training would be preferable in addition to the basic courses listed above: first aid, H2S, Fork Lift and all others.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean abstract (Please bring a three year abstract to your interview.)
- A general knowledge of food and industrial plant construction and installs
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily tasks with the crews onsite
- Be an example of professionalism
- Lead by example, should be the hardest working person on a site
- Run Toolbox meetings daily and ensure Field Level Hazard Assessments are completed as a group
- Communicate effectively with management, purchasing and other departments as needed
- Plan material needs in advance, ensure detailed material lists are used to order, return or taken from the shop
- Keep track of materials onsite
- Keep an organized, safe work site always and ensure housekeeping is completed each day
- Ensure staff bill time to the correct work order number
- Ensure equipment is signed out and signed back in with any issues reported and the item red tagged
- Deal directly with other trades onsite
- Actively participate and maintain positive team environment
