Overview

Central Mobile Welding Ltd. specializes in structural steel. We provide roof reinforcements, fabricate beams and columns and also erect them as steel framing for industrial and residential buildings, build fire escapes, balconies and mezzanines, and also are involved in general miscellaneous structural equipment repairs.

There are two components to this job; on-site and in-shop. We often fabricate weldments in our shop and then install them on-site. You will have a company vehicle parked on our premises that you’ll use to get to these sites. It is fully equipped for you to cut and weld on site. What one month of work looks like for you will differ tremendously from the next.

Job requirements:

-physical strength (able to occasionally lift 100 lbs fairly easily)

-one or more years experience in stick welding

-CWB certified for all-position stick welding preferred

-one or more years of experience in MIG and/or TIG welding preferred

-fabrication experience preferred

-working at heights preferred

-scissor lift training preferred

-forklift training preferred

-WHMIS training preferred

-driver’s license (full G preferred)

Wages will depend on how many of the boxes you tick above, along with the quality and speed of your welding and fabricating. We will not start anyone at $35/hour. If you are experienced and fully certified, we may choose to start you at $30/hour, with potential for earning $35/hour after probation.

Education:

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
