We are looking for a Experienced Single Hand Welder (NO WELDERS HELPER) to cut and join metals and other materials at our facilities or on customer locations. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure.
A welder must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metal (steel, aluminum, etc…) and their properties is essential.
Responsibilities
- Be able to take verbal instruction on how to weld something and put it into action (use your imagination)
- Read drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
- Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Requirements
- CURRENT AND VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE (ABSOLUTELY A MUST)
- Proven experience as welder; willing to submit to a 3G test.
- Willing to work (50% in the shop, 50% in the outside) possible on call.
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (STICK, MIG, ALUMINUM)
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, FR clothing)
- Deftness and attention to detail
- Bilingual a plus (English, Spanish)
- Professional Certification D1.1 will be a plus but not required, willing to be certified
- Understanding that you will not always be welding. Sometimes we need you to help in other areas. We all do many different jobs within our small company.

DESCRIPCIÓN DEL TRABAJO
Estamos buscando un soldador experimentado (NO WELDERS HELPER) para cortar y unir metales y otros materiales en nuestras instalaciones o en las ubicaciones de los clientes. Operará el equipo adecuado para armar estructuras mecánicas o piezas con una gran precisión. Su trabajo es importante, ya que proporciona la base para una infraestructura sólida.
Un soldador debe ser competente en el uso de equipos potencialmente peligrosos siguiendo todas las precauciones de seguridad. El candidato ideal también tendrá una mano firme y una gran atención al detalle. Conocimiento de diferentes tipos de metal (acero, aluminio, etc…) y sus propiedades es esencial.
Responsabilidades
Ser capaz de tomar instrucciones verbales sobre cómo soldar algo y ponerlo en acción (utilice su imaginación)
Leer dibujos y tomar o leer medidas para planificar el diseño y los procedimientos
Determinar el equipo o método de soldadura adecuado en función de los requisitos
Configurar componentes para soldadura de acuerdo con las especificaciones (por ejemplo, material de corte con sierras accionadas para que coincidan con las medidas)
Operar amoladoras angulares para preparar las piezas que deben soldarse
Alinee los componentes utilizando pinzas, reglas, etc. y piezas de abrazadera
Componentes de soldadura utilizando equipos de soldadura manuales o semiautomáticos en varias posiciones (vertical, horizontal o aérea)
Reparar maquinaria y otros componentes mediante soldadura de piezas y llenado de huecos
Pruebe e inspeccione las superficies soldadas y la estructura para descubrir defectos
Mantener el equipo en una condición que no comprometa la seguridad
Requisitos
LICENCIA DE CONDUCTOR ACTUAL Y VALIDA (ABSOLUTAMENTE DEBE)
Experiencia probada como soldador; dispuestos a someterse a una prueba 3G.
Dispuesto a trabajar (50% en la tienda, 50% en el campo) posible de guardia.
Experiencia en el uso de una variedad de equipos y procedimientos de soldadura (STICK, MIG, ALUMINIO)
Experiencia en el uso de herramientas eléctricas o manuales (sierras, cuadrados, pinzas, etc.)
Capacidad para leer e interpretar documentos técnicos y dibujos
Conocimiento de las normas de seguridad relativas y disposición a usar ropa protectora (escudo facial, guantes, ropa FR)
Destreza y atención al detalle
Bilinguista a plus (inglés, español)
La Certificación Profesional D1.1 será un plus pero no requerida, dispuesto a ser certificada
Entendiendo que no siempre estarás soldando. A veces necesitamos que me ayudes en otras áreas. Todos hacemos muchos trabajos diferentes dentro de nuestra pequeña empresa.
