Starting Rate of pay: $16.60/hour
Shifts Available and Hours: 1st shift
Identify proper welding wire and alloy is used for the applicable base metal
Ability to change wire, rollers, tips, diffusers, nozzles and set proper tension on rollers
Ability to set proper welding parameters (voltage & wire speed)
Demonstrate competency in GMAW techniques with solid wire on aluminum in the Flat, Horizontal & Vertical Fillet Positions
Demonstrate competency in post welding treatment – i.e. brushing, cleaning, straightening & weld quality
Ability to handle several hundred small welds applied in a single shift.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Pass Welding Performance Test (given on-site during interview process-Q.A. determination)
Technical Training Desired with focus in Welding
Welding Certification, a plus
OSHA training, a plus
