Job Type / Category

We are looking for responsible and motivated Shop Associates to join our team on a full time basis, Monday to Friday 7:00 to 4:00. We are looking for someone who will support the Shop’s overall goal of providing effective and efficient stainless steel fabricated products. In this position you will be provided with an opportunity to make your mark and work with a team that is highly motivated to be the best. This position will report to the Production Manager and will be responsible for a variety of shop related functions.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Computer literate
  • excellent understanding of safety practices and procedures in a fabricating environment

Assets

  • Post-Secondary courses in welding and/or previous shop experience
  • fabrication experience that includes knowledge of layout, fabrication and welding in the food service equipment manufacturing sector
  • history of finished product assembly

Work Conditions

  • Physical ability to be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Frequently lift and/ or move items weighing 50 – 60 pounds
  • Travel to off-site locations may be required
  • Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc
  • Overtime as required
  • Hazards associated with the trade

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
