Trade-Mark Industrial is a multi-trade contractor specializing in millwrighting, rigging, electrical, piping, sheet metal, HVAC, and industrial machine installations and repairs. We focus on the Southwestern Ontario market with resources to provide services across Ontario, Canada and the United States.

We are looking for a Fabrication Designer to join our fabrication shop team!

This role will design mechanical solutions for various industries such as lifting devices, product transport devices, product processing devices, automation, support structures, mezzanines, guarding, and R&D for industrial machine designs.

Responsibilities:

· Support fabrication team and lead designer with design tasks for industries such as food, chemical, and steel

· Perform onsite visits to record and meet customer requirements

· Develop detailed drawings and design for manufacturing

· Maintain and update documentation as required

· Adhere to ISO 9001 requirements

· Research machinery and components

· Power, speed, force, pressure, deflection, stress, tipping, and moment calculations

· Nest parts for plasma cutting

Qualifications:

· Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering or related field

· Strong understanding of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office

· Conveyor and automation design knowledge

· Design of steel structures and building code knowledge

· Strong understanding of custom metal fabrication

· Strong oral and written skills

· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

· Must have valid driver’s license

Experience:

· 1 year related experience preferred

· Proficiency in SolidWorks simulation considered an asset

· Experience in automation systems considered an asset

· Welding and fabrication experience considered an asset

· Design of steel structures a highly favoured asset
