Propower Mfg. located in Windsor Ontario is looking for an experienced Fabrication General Labourer to join our team. This is a direct hire, permanent position on straight day shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.). If you want to work for a company that offers:

Job Duties

· Assist Fabrication department with fabrication of tank wraps, subassemblies, and other components

· Operate sheet metal cutting, punching, and forming equipment (turret punch press, CNC and manual rollers, CNC and manual press brakes, shear, plasma cutter, LASER cutter, chop saw, band saw, drill press, hand grinder, bench grinder)

· Operate overhead crane and forklift

· Follow written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents

· Use precision and basic measuring instruments to check dimensions to ensure quality

  • Recognize and identify minor program errors and equipment issues as they arise

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years in manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating sheet metal cutting, punching and forming equipment
  • Ability to read and understand engineering blueprints an asset
  • Fork lift and overhead crane experience an asset
  • Good physical condition with ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle material
  • Excellent reliability and attendance habits with ability to work independently
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
