Fabrication Shop Helper & Delivery Driver
The Purpose
Under the direction of the Shop Foreman and/or the Shop Lead, the duties of the Fabrication Shop Helper primarily involve operating basic hand tools, component assembly, operating fabrication equipment including saws, drills, grinders that are associated with structural steel fabrication for sprinkler-system piping.
Areas of Accountability
· Layout, prep, and cutting of pipe, as per assigned sheets.
· Material stocking, inventory & organization.
· Conduct/assist with delivering materials (company vehicle provided)
· Cutting, threading and grooving of steel sprinkler pipe
· Layout of required welds for each job
· Forklift operation
· Loading & unloading pipe and fittings on trucks.
· Adhere to EFP’s Quality Control Manual and procedures, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality.
· Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, and maintain and operate equipment in a way that does not compromise safety.

· Conduct deliveries to various sites as per EFP’s drivers’ policy and as outlined by the Shop Foreman or Lead, using the company vehicle provided.
· Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team in the Fabrication Shop, collaborating with other team members to meet project-completion timelines and achieve company goals.
· General shop duties and other duties as assigned.
Interactions
· Reports to the Shop Manager and Shop Lead
· Works alongside a team in the Fabrication Shop
· Communicates with office staff for administrative support
The Person
Skills, Knowledge & Certifications
· Adhere to EFP’s Quality Control Manual and procedures
· Must be able to follow work instructions with attention to detail.
· Forklift certification.
· Ability to use hand tools in a safe manner
· Has good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
Physical Demands
· Ability to comfortably lift 50lbs
· Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods of time
· Bending, lifting, pushing, crouching
