Overview
Summary:
Escape Fire Protection Ltd. is an established sprinkler contractor. We are seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need as a helper in our fabrication shop located in Abbotsford, British Columbia.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following:
- Layout, prep, and cutting of pipe
- Properly making on required fittings for ease of field installation
- Cutting, threading and grooving of steel sprinkler pipe
- Layout of required welds for each job
- Power tools will be provided
- Use plasma cutter to cut holes in pipe.
- Forklift operation
- Loading & unloading pipe and fittings on trucks.
- Securing loads on trucks.
- General shop organization.
Qualification Requirements
· Driver’s license
· Reliable transportation
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Constant use of hands to handle product and tools to fab pipe.
- Load and unload trucks
- Frequent wearing of eye protection, safety shoes and gloves
- Frequent heavy lifting
- Good communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
Wage is based on experience
Schedule
- Full Time permanent
- 8 hour shift – 8am – 4pm
Monday to Friday
