Overview
Carrier Manufacturing is the largest manufacturing shop north of Abbotsford. Handling projects across a wide range of primary resource industries, the shop is reputed for our consistent engineering standards and top-notch workmanship. We attract clientele from across Canada and into the United States, completing projects from mining to forestry to agriculture and beyond.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
We are currently accepting applications for a Machinist for our Prince George shop. We will also accept resumes from third or fourth year apprentices. Other qualifications include:
3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong ability to interpret blueprints
Excellent time management and organization
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
THE DUTIES
Interpret technical drawings and instructions
Ensure equipment produced works correctly
Working with steel fabrication techniques, steel grades and shapes
Produce precision tools
THE COMPENSATION
Hourly rate: $42.00. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hrs/week with opportunity for overtime on nights and weekends.
