Night Shift Supervisor – iFab is a growing business servicing the Heartland and Wood Buffalo markets in the energy sector. We require a Steel Structure and piping Fabrication Supervisor. The supervisor is responsible for planning and organizing team members to meet company requirements for safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of shop team in order to ensure that safety, quality and production targets are achieved daily.
  • Establish methods to meet production schedules and co-ordinate work with other departments
  • Resolve production issues and recommend measures to improve productivity
  • Requisition materials and supplies as applicable
  • Ensure parts/materials are supplied to team as needed
  • Train employees on job duties, safety procedures and company policies
  • Ensure production scheduling flexibility is optimized through program management across all welding and fitting stations
  • Support ongoing continuous improvement projects and promote lean manufacturing principles
  • Ensure safety rules and regulations are followed
  • Track and report production results – Quality/Productivity/Audits/Scrap

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment,
  • Grade 12 education, trade certification (pipefitter/ B pressure welding)
  • Previous leadership experience
  • ISO Quality systems knowledge
  • Hands-on team player that interacts and communicates well with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent computer skills,
  • Extensive experience using MS office; Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and able to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Able to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $46.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Fort Saskatchewan, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Manufacturing/Production: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Journeyman Welding Certification (required)
