Job Title: Fabrication Trainer

Position Overview:
Outstanding training and education is a cornerstone of our business. As a Corporate Trainer, your role is to work in a production environment and convey knowledge and skills to Cam Tran employees, developing a highly competitive, skilled workforce. Training would include new employees and current Cam Tran staff at all facilities.

Position Responsibilities:
Learn and have a full understanding of a wide variety of job positions, to a high level of detail, for the purposes of training others.

Effectively deliver training in various settings (production, classroom, etc.) for the purposes of achieving certification, using the Training Teams’ standardized training methodologies.

Monitor and motivate teammates to achieve maximum productivity, while adhering and ensuring the regulatory quality standards are being fulfilled.

Continually evaluate trainee’s progression and provide feedback as necessary.

Develop and document work instructions for various job positions to a high level of detail and validate training materials by working with the Engineering Team and Team Leaders.

Develop training modules using the Training Team’s software platforms.

Observe and conduct training audits to identify training gaps, make necessary changes to work instructions and establish re-training plan to correct deficiencies and retest/audit.

Work with production training team to make recommendations on how to improve training to optimize production while positively contributing to safety, quality, service and cost.

If required, travel to other Cam Tran locations to deliver training in accordance with the corporate training team schedule (approx. 2-6 times per year).

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Welding Certification is required

3-5 years welding experience is required

Previous training experience is required

3-5 years working in a production environment will be considered an asset

Superior oral and written communication skills

Ability to work under minimal supervision

Must have the ability to learn and utilize an array of computer programs at an intermediate level

Ability to travel if required

Proficient at project management

Must be customer focused, results oriented and have a positive attitude

Well organized and able to make independent judgments

Excellent interpersonal and listening skills, with ability to build productive professional relationships and promote a team atmosphere.

Good judgment and reasoning skills.
