Your Future Role:
Maintenance of existing installations and infrastructure
Improvement of mechanical systems
Fabricate items as needed
Troubleshoot and resolve production equipment breakdowns
Assist with new equipment installations and commissioning
Must complete and maintain records for work
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks as required
Follow safe work practices and health and safety policies
Shift: 2pm – 10:30pm Monday – Thursday
Job Overview:
A Fabricator is responsible for reading & understanding schematics and blueprints and fabricating metal parts and structures per the customer request. We are looking to add someone to our team who is eager to learn, detail-orientated and a team player.
Key Responsibilities:
Layout (fitting)
Use of brake, shear and saw
Use of iron worker
Welding to CWB standards
Polishing/finishing welds
Assist with various shop projects, including shop maintenance
Fabrication of various jobs/projects
Able to read blueprints/drawing/sketches
Knowledge of GMP guidelines and practices
Read and understand schematics and blueprints
Conduct quality control checks
Work closely with designers & engineers & product development
Accurate and timely completion of all daily paperwork
In accordance with company policy/ESA; overtime, work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the company
All other duties as assigned
Requirements
Completion of High School or equivalent
Metal Fabricator/Fitter 437A or equivalent
Previous 1-4 years of fabrication experience
MIG welding experience. CWB tickets considered a strong asset
You have a get it done attitude and are skilled at removing barriers
You operate with a team spirit, not with ego; you want everyone, including yourself, to do their best work; you see your success as dependent on the success of the team
You have the ability to think beyond the needs of the customer to point out errors and potential issues
You are able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, cope effectively with complexity and change, quickly understand and absorb new information and respond appropriately
You are a straight shooter who gets to the point and can clearly communicate in both oral and written form
