Overview
In Brampton, under the responsibility of the Applied Samples Assistant Group Leader, the position holder produces the required samples.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produces the applied samples for all product lines.
- Makes sure that the samples produced comply with quality standards.
- Compiles the raw materials’ and samples’ inventory and communicates this data to his/her superior.
- Shows imagination and creativity in samples experimentation
- Produces the new samples once approved by the Product Managers and the Technical Services Manager.
- Puts in writing the duration of certain steps in samples production when requested by his/her superior
- Takes part in the training of new employees in the department.
- Respects the H&S standards.
- Elaborates / prepares seminars (demo boards making and mounting)
- May have to use various tools such as water-saw, saw-bench, dril, etc.)
- Maintains his work area clean
- Provides reports as required by his/her superior
- May have to travel in Canada
- Any other related tasks
You need:
- High school degree and 1 to 3 year experience in a similar sector
- Be able to lift 50 pounds many times a day / stand up for long periods of time
- Very good accuracy and dexterity, coordination, creativity, initiative, detailed oriented, versatility
- Knowledge of MAPEI products
