Fabricator/Certified Welder

POSITION SUMMARY

Capable of welding with all types of equipment and materials; able to fabricate power units and skids from a variety of materials and processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Weld mig and stick braze; silver sauder-pressure weld and grind.

• Setup and operates all types of welding equipment.

• Setup and operates all phases of brazing applications.

• Pre-fab and fabrication of skids and power units.

• Fill welds for cylinder machine parts.

• Welds for cylinder repairs.

• Responsible for the quality of parts produced.

• Able to operate various tools such as shears, saws, benders, and drill press.

• Monitors equipment and performs routine maintenance as needed.

• Responsible for completing tasks in a timely fashion.

• Reads drawings and prints.

• Complies with company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.

• Maintains neat and clean work area.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS – SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Experience should demonstrate proficiencies in the following areas:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Ability to pay attention to details.

• Accept responsibility for his/her actions.

• Ability to properly convey ideas or concepts.

• Accept constructive criticism without becoming defensive.

Education: High School Graduate of Vocational School

Experience: Three years related experience

Skills taught after hire as needed: Welding Process Training, Safety Training, ISO Orientation Training

Certificates & Licenses: AWSD1.1 Certified using Hydraulics’ Welder qualifications as a minimum requirement

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Indoor mostly not climate controlled
