Overview

Position Purpose:

Greco Aluminum Railings in Terrell, TX is seeking a Lead Welder/Fabricator to provide engaging leadership and guidance to all production quality employees to ensure that all production operations and administrative activities are efficient, safe, and adhere to the company’s safety, health, environmental, quality and productivity standards.


Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for successful scheduling, execution, monitoring, delegating, overseeing, and fabrication of railings in the plant.
  • Effective and constant communication to the shop floor and the management team in FL is essential
  • Ensures projects are completed on time
  • Responsible for the quality of all products that leave the facility
  • Responsible for troubleshooting any issues that may occur during fabrication
  • Acts as liaison to communicate between the facility and main office
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and stocked to not slow schedule
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Manages a team of Welders, Fabricators and Saw Operators


Essential Skills, Education & Experience:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required, PMP would be a plus
  • A demonstrated record of strong people management, change management, strategic thinking, and planning
  • Hands-on and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize duties to meet deadlines
  • Strong follow through skills to close leads and action items
  • Must be willing to travel some to other Greco facilities
  • 5 years of fabrication/shop management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent knowledge of aluminum/stainless steel materials
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
  • 5 years of knowledge in TIG/MIG welding and or inspection of the processes
