Job Summary

The Welder will be responsible for the lay out, fitting, and fabricating of metal components to assemble structural forms, such as frames for assembly and building forms for precast structures. Experience in Structural Red Iron for building construction. This will be done by using the knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy and engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics and is able to work from sketches or verbal instructions
  • Work with and coordinate activities with other job classifications
  • Follow safe work practices and all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
  • Read and understand shop orders
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by supervisor, facilitator, or lead

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability and willingness to pass weld tests
  • Strong Red Iron experience, Wire Feed and Stick Welding
  • Bi-Lingual a plus
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

A minimum of three (3) years experience required and candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen. This position is full-time and may require overtime. Benefits after 60 days include medical, dental, vision, supplemental and short term disability insurance and 40 hours of Paid Time Off the first year. Paid every Friday.

Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour
