Dependable Truck & Tank Limited was founded in 1975 and is, as it began, a family operated business. Our innovative design and engineering concepts allow us to manufacture cargo tanks, trailers and emergency vehicles to our client’s specifications. We manufacture versatile cargo tanks and trailer tankers for the distribution of petroleum products and other bulk related products. We also manufacture tankers for municipal maintenance applications. Our custom tanks range in size from 2000 liter truck-mounted units to 60,000 liter B-train units.

The position requires a FABRICATOR/WELDER with previous experience working in a custom production and manufacturing environment that has at least 3-years’ experience.

Being a custom fabrication shop producing highway petroleum cargo tankers, we require a candidate to fabricate tanks that hold liquids.

Responsibilities:

  • Welding aluminum with MIG (GMAW)
  • Cutting aluminum sheets and aluminum extrusions
  • Fitting sheets and bulkheads together
  • Hand plasma cutting
  • Read and interpret tank drawings
  • Testing Tanks pneumatically at low pressure (5 psi)
  • To maintain company supplied TSSA welding certificates
  • Some working at heights with provided safety harness track system and training
  • Some confined space welding with monitoring devices and training
  • Some Tig Welding (GTAW)

Skills:

  • Excellent Aluminum Mig welding skills (GMAW)
  • Ability to work well with air and electric hand tools as wells as bandsaws and drill presses
  • Excellent team working abilities.
  • LOVES TO WELD AND SEES WELDING AS THEIR PASSION

Steel-toed safety boots, Hand tools, Welding helmet,
