Tīra is currently recruiting for a range of experience levels of Fabricators/ Welders to join our small team in the USA. Our industry covers a variety of industries including dairy, food & beverage and pharmaceuticals. We are after people who have had experience with Stainless Steel fabrication and on-site/field installation of equipment, silos, tanks etc. We are looking for people who are keen to embrace innovation in Stainless Steel fabrication, who can problem solve, think on their feet and get stuck in. This role will be predominantly field based, so frequent travel will be required.

Pay: Negotiable based on experience, knowledge, skills and ability.
Job Duration: Permanent – with initial 12 months based in Lubbock, TX
Location: Lubbock, TX – thereafter travel interstate
Reports to: Field Welding Supervisor

Summary:

  • Work on a variety of different projects as a fabricator/ welder specialising in stainless steel, including medium/large industrial equipment.
  • Ability to travel around the USA

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the weld, quality & finish of tanks.
  • In-depth knowledge of stainless-steel fabrication and weld processes, in particular to dairy / hygiene standard.
  • Proficient in multiple welding processes such as TIG, MIG, Purge welding and dual welding.
  • Follow safety rules

Knowledge, Skills & Ability

  • Fabrication/ welding experience, 3-10+ years’ (we have multiple roles, based on experience)
  • Welding experience with TIG – thickness from 12 gauge to 3/8 inch.
  • Proficient in fabrication techniques.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to provide basic math skills are those that involve making calculations of amounts, sizes, or other measurements.
  • Read drawings ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Ability to identify practical problems
  • Read and interpret weld process according to AWS and ASME section IX.
  • Ability to understand and apply workplace safety procedures.
  • Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment required.

Physical Requirements – This role will require the ability to operate equipment with both hands, climb ladders & platforms, work outdoors and lift various dimension & weights.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma / GED Equivalent.
  • Driver’s License: Required

The successful candidate must be:

  • Able to work in the USA
  • Must be able to clear pre-employment background screen and drug test

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
