We are looking for an experienced Welder to join our Field Services team. The Welder is responsible for service & repair welding, and fitter welding out in the field. This position also requires the fabrication of custom prototypes from supplied drawings, fabrication of custom jigs and fixtures to support installations that meet customer specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Work effectively on a team as well as on an individual basis while maintaining tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work out in the field on construction sites in all weather conditions
  • Efficient and effective work practices that ensure safety is held to highest standard
  • Maintenance of equipment in a condition that follows proper LOTO procedures in accordance with our Health and Safety Policy/Procedure and the OHSA
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions
  • Provide installation of manufactured concrete and other components by welding pieces

Skills, Education & Experience

  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints with strong attention to detail
  • CWB Ticket required
  • 2 years minimum experience
  • Skilled in the use of MIG, Stick, all positions
  • Trained in Confined Space would be considered an asset
  • Able to use wide variety of hand tools and equipment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
