Our team is growing, and Marcon Metalfab (www.marconmetal.com) is hiring a Field Welder to join our dynamic team based in Delta’s Tilbury Park.

For over 30 years, Marcon Metalfab has supplied custom fabricated steel and rubber products required for infrastructure, and other projects in the transportation, building construction, utilities, mining, marine, oil, and gas sectors. Equipped with leading manufacturing technologies that allow for efficient handling and processing of materials, Marcon’s 22,000 square foot facility can support even the largest fabrication projects.

We are located in Tilbury Industrial Park in Delta BC, with four ways to get here – the Massey Tunnel, Alex Fraser Bridge, South Fraser Perimeter Rd., and Hwy 99.

About the Position:
Shift – Monday to Friday (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM).

Responsibilities:
Travel to sites throughout the lower mainland.

Welding in the flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.

Secure necessary jigs and fixtures, filler material to properly perform welding operations.

Practice good housekeeping to keep the work site clear of hazards.

Participate in safety meetings.

Requirements:
Must have own transportation and a valid driver’s license to get to job sites.

CWB certified in all positions.

2+ years of hands-on welding experience, including stick and flex-core.

Ability to independently lift 50 – 100 lbs.

Able to read shop drawings, weld symbols, specifications for direction as to final product.
