Mac-Weld Machining Ltd. is seeking a Prepper/Finisher to take on the task of sharing our vision locally and globally. The Finisher/Prepper is responsible for removing surface defects from manufactured parts as well as the final sanding, polishing and some internal testing.

Job Responsibilities: *
- Removes surface and bore defects on metal parts using sanding paper, sand blocks and belt sanders
- Verifies surface finish Ra with Profilometer
- Verifies stamp information and legibility with keen attention to detail
- Wipes surface clean with cloth and stacks finished parts
- Performs CMM Report testing
- Maintains a clean working environment and equipment
- Reading text and document use
- Numeracy

- Calculate and verify dimensions and tolerances of machined tools and parts using knowledge of mathematics and precision instruments such as tape measures, steel scales, and Vernier calipers

Weight Handling: *
- Must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs.) but not consistently
- Fast Paced
This is a full-time day/evening rotating shift position in our Sarnia facility where the individual may be required to work weekends and overtime from time to time
