Our Fitter/Fabricator positions have a wage range of $30 – $42 per hour based on years of experience and a skills assessment during the interview stage. Increases are then reviewed throughout employment.

Our Indutech Canada facility is looking for experienced and energetic Fitter/Fabricators to join our Piping Department in Calgary, AB.
The Fitter/Fabricator works from patterns and blueprints, using a variety of tools and machines to make metal parts or assemble components and builds pipe systems used for a variety of applications. They also make sure that pipes are cut, installed, and maintained according to specifications.
Essential functions for this role are:
Operation of machinery involved in the fabrication of various types of machinery and structures. This may include operation of plasma cutting, and handheld oxygen/acetylene torches, welding machines, and pipe fitting tools.
Use of templates, temporary material, gauging devices and/or patterns to create materials joins
Understanding, proficiency, and safe use of overhead cranes and rigging techniques.
Understanding, proficiency, and safe usage of lift trucks up to 8000#.
Reading and understanding of fabrication drawings and/or CAD drawings.
May prepare equipment for painting, assembly of equipment for shipping, testing of equipment, installation of equipment at customer sites and other duties required in daily production activities.

Proficient in knowledge and use of fabrication techniques involved in the fabrication and manufacture of custom machinery and projects and cutting methods
Ability to understand blueprints
Knowledge of health and safety guidelines when dealing with dangerous equipment or chemicals
Strong mechanical aptitude and installation knowledge
Good numerical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Ability to work in shifts and/or overtime
