In addition to our core competencies:
Experience with gas metal arc welding (GMAW) & (FCAW).
Experience with welding & fitting in a fabrication and manufacturing environment.
Experience with use of plasma table, Brake Press & Bandsaw would be an asset.
Experience with overhead cranes would be an asset.
Experience with Forklifts would be an Asset.
Must be able to lift 23 kg (50 lbs.).
Must have own transportation.
Must have own tools, steel-toed safety boots and welding helmet.
Key responsibilities as a level 1 Welder/Fitter include:
Fitting & welding of materials up to 3/8” thick
Repairs, gauge/grind, make repairs to weldments during the rebuilding process.
Insuring to Keep shop equipment & tools in good & safe operating condition.
Perform safety inspection of equipment (assets) and related accessories.
Supporting and actively participating in safe, environmentally sound, and healthy work behaviors and objectives at all times in support of Rock-Tech’s Health and Safety Policy/Program and best practices.
Provide feedback to welding supervisor with recommendation and corrective actions.
Actively participate in continuous improvements initiatives (input/feedback/suggestion and recommendation)
Practice good housekeeping methods by keeping work area clean and clear of obstructions.
Ensure that your work is meeting time standards, assist in improving and developing better time standards. Interpret welding process specification.
The above is the minimum requirements but not limited to any other that may be required by Rock-Tech. Any additional requirements and job duties to be added as required.
Salary, Compensation & Work Schedule:
Salary: to be negotiated based on experience, knowledge and performance

Monday to Friday: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (Shift May slightly vary during this Covid-19 epidemic)
