Fitter/Welder Trainee Apprentice
Under direction, execute mechanical activities relating to construction and fabrication of Stainless Steel piping systems, equipment, maintenance and repair of equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Comply with and promote awareness of the Turnkey Modular Systems’ Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality policies and procedures.
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to execute fabrication of piping systems, equipment tie-ins and piping system repairs.
Set up components for fitting/welding according to specifications (e.g., cut and face material with GF saws/tools to match measurements).
Polish, grind or cut materials using angle grinders as required.
Perform mechanical installation and related maintenance work as required.
Inspect work to ensure compliance with standard procedures and assignments.
Organize daily tasks and follow supervisor requests to ensure production needs are met.
Take part in developmental and training programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate from a Welding Certificate program and looking to learn.
Experience with TIG welding of Stainless Steel tubing, pipe and/or structural steel would be an asset.
Experience with the Stainless steel piping systems would be asset.
Experience with Biotech/Pharmaceutical equipment or piping systems would be an asset.
