Overview
SUPREME STEEL is the largest privately owned structural steel fabricator in Canada, with facilities in Edmonton and Saskatoon.
Supreme Steel LP – Saskatoon requires full time, Fitter/Welders to join our team. Previous experience in the structural steel fabrication sector is required. A journeyperson red seal certificate would be an asset. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to gain knowledge quickly, following safety policies and procedures, have strong communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast paced work environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
· Interpretation of all aspects of structural steel fabrication.
· Reading and interpreting all types of drawings.
· Understands welding procedures.
· Performing welding of all types of steel work.
These are full-time unionized positions, which may be required to work night shift.
We offer a competitive wage and benefit package as per the collective agreement, including yearly safety boot and glasses allowances, two extra paid statutory holidays each year and nights shift premium of $2.00/hr.
All employees must adhere to proper safety procedures and policies while working in a culture of care. Positions working in labour intensive or safety-sensitive environments will be required to pass pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing, as well as Physical Fitness to Work Mobility Testing.
