Overview
Job Title: Floor Welder
Department: Manufacturing
Reports to: Production Manager
Core Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Store-Rite manufactures Modular Security Fencing and Steel Platforms as well as custom steel parts for the Material Handling industry. As a Floor Welder, you will be responsible for the fitting and welding of Store-rite steel product componenets.
The following job description is intended to describe the general responsibilities and level of work expected, however it is not an exhaustive list of all duties and skills required for this job.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Fitting and welding steel parts
2. Grinding steel parts as required
3. Fit steel parts to support Production
4. Show interest in learning to cut and punch
5. Stacking and strapping materials using steel strapping
6. Use Forklift truck to move steel parts both indoors and outdoors
7. Communicate with the Production Manager.
8. Suggest improvements to efficiency to the Production Manager.
9. Communicate clearly and effectively in English
10. Conduct all interactions with customers and Store-Rite employees in a professional and positive manner.
11. Conduct all activity in congruence with all Ontario and Canadian laws and municipal by-laws.
Professional and Technical Requirements:
A. Education (all of the following)
Completion of an accredited Welding Certification program
Willingness to complete a Forklift training course from an accredited source
B. Experience
This is an entry level position. We will train the right candidate.

Wage: $17-$18 per hour depending on ability
