Apache Pipeline Products is a leading manufacturer in pipeline cleaning and maintenance equipment. Proudly based in Canada, we manufacture and supply pigs and pigging-related equipment for oil, gas and pipeline companies across the Globe.

JOB SUMMARY

Mix and pour chemicals in a production plant. Fabricate and finish a variety of products manufactured from foam, urethane and other raw materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Material Processing

– Process foam pipeline pigs from start to finish by machine or by hand to specifications as per work orders.

– Follow schedule as per priorities given in written production schedule, printed work orders and verbal instructions to meet required production output.

– Pull appropriate molds from storage to fabricate parts, mix foam and curative to precise required ratio, pour foam into mold and demold finished foam parts.

– Produce foam mixture by operating foam automatic mixing machine or by manual measuring of weights and ratios, and hand mixing.

– Maintain and store molds for re-use

– Operate hand tools for cutting, grinding, mixing, heating etc.

2. Finishing

– Trim foam products to remove flashing and overpour material.

– Prepare/mix polyurethane and use to coat foam products.

– Apply wire brush and other coatings to exterior of fabricated foam pigs.

– Add required auxiliary equipment including rope and transmitter cavities.

– Check dimension.

3. Maintenance and General Requirements.

– Work in a safe and cooperative manner.

– Operation of forklift and overhead cranes. Training can be provided for those without previous ticket.

– Complete work orders as instructed.

– Maintain a clean and organized work environment

– Assist in other departments as required

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma preferred; or minimum one (1) year related experience and/or training in labor related position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPETENCIES

Ability to consistently produce high quality products. Be able to learn from others and take direction.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures, and production worksheets. Ability to write & record daily reports.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply basic mathematical operations to such tasks as required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in daily production situations where time is of the essence

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

First Aid Certificate, or Lift Truck certificate are preferred but not necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is briefly exposed to risk of burns; exposed to airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
