Overview

SHOP FORMAN with experience supervising welding, fabrication, and production processes isrequired to support the production of the Extreme Modular Buildings product. Preferred applicants will have experience in many of the following areas:

Supervise Production

· Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the EMB Production Facility

· Develop and implement plans to efficiently use materials, labour, and equipment to meet production targets.

· Work collaboratively with Quality Control personnel to Implement and enforce quality control measures.

· Eliminate waste and control costs wherever possible.

SAFETY

· Evaluate, develop, and enforce safe work practices and procedures

· Ensure all employees have the training and resources required to do their jobs safely

· Work collaboratively with the Haul-All Safety Manager to continually improve safety practices/programs

Communication & Leadership

· Communicate clear expectations while building relationships of mutual respect

· Keep Production employees informed and motivated through consistent and timely feedback.

· Lead by example and influence. Represent the interests of the company to employees, and the interests of the Production employees to the company, in a fair, accurate, and constructive manner.

Teamwork

· Foster a positive team environment in which everyone is working together toward a common goal

· Develop and maintain teamwork between the various EMB Production areas,

· Develop and maintain teamwork between Production and EMB Engineering, Quality Control, and Project Coordination personnel

· Develop and maintain teamwork between the EMB and the Haul-All Equipment production facilities

· When conflict arises take immediate steps to resolve the matter.

Coach & train team members, set action plans, help them grow:

· Ensure that Production employees are trained and understand how to properly interpret and complete all documentation in their respective areas.

· Train or oversee training of Production employees in the use of new equipment and production techniques to maximize quality, productivity, and safety.

Policy & Procedure

· Ensure all Production employees understand company policies and procedures.

· Administer company policies and procedures fairly and consistently.

Personnel Actions

· Collaborate with EMB Management and the Haul-All HR Manager in personnel actions (hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, discipline, performance appraisals, etc.).

· Ensure Production employees are treated equitably, fairly, and with dignity and respect.
