Aspire Energy Resources Inc. was founded in 2000 to meet a growing need for quality remanufactured production equipment in the Oil & Gas Industry. From design to shipping and everything in between, Aspire specializes in restoring previously owned equipment using our proven remanufacturing process.

We are currently looking to add an experienced Pipe Fitter to our team in Red Deer County, Alberta.

What will you do?

  • Use blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine type of pipe and tools to use, and lay out the sequence of tasks
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install piping, valves, and fittings
  • Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks
  • Prepare/Tack pipe spools and vessels for pressure welders
  • Contribute to morning toolbox meetings
  • Ensure job tracking records are maintained
  • Work within clearly defined safety policies and procedures in a COR certified shop
  • Extra hours with short notice for call outs, nights and overtime as needed

What do you need?

  • Journeyman/Journeywoman ticketed Steamfitter / Pipefitter with a minimum of 2 years construction and / or plant experience is an asset. First or second year apprentices will be considered with 5 or more years of fabrication experience.
  • Valid Alberta Drivers’ License
  • Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, First Aid and CSTS 2020 training is an asset
  • Desire to develop into a Lead Hand or Supervisor
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints / P&ID’s / piping specifications and QA / QC requirements (Travel Sheets)
  • Be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work with tasks involving heights
  • Willingness to work at assigned locations and perform tasks as required
  • Ability to work with high degree of safety awareness and a commitment to everyone’s safety
  • A positive attitude and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
