Job summary:

This is not an entry level position

Major area of work: All aspects of aluminum welding and fabricating

Area of Specialization: Aluminum welding (MIG & TIG)

Materials: 90% Aluminum and 10% steel

Weight Handling: 50 lbs +

Responsibilities:

  • Build repeat Aqualu products in a production setting
  • Weld custom aluminum jobs in the most cost effective way
  • Must be a self starter and able to work alone with very little supervision
  • The candidate must have extensive experience in a manufacturing setting and must be able to use different machines such as a break press, hydraulic shear and rolling/bending machines

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience as a welder/fabricator in a manufacturing environment
  • Trade certification not required in lieu of experience
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to use all manufacturing tooling
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to read and understand working drawings
  • Weld test will be given prior to being awarded the position
  • Previous experience quoting custom jobs would be considered an asset

Aqualu Industries Inc. is a full service welding, fabricating, manufacturing company located in beautiful Kelowna, British Columbia Canada. Our current facility encompasses 13,000 sq. ft. and can accommodate a wide variety of manufacturing demands.

Our primary area of expertise is aluminum fabrication including manufacturing replacement bodies and components for use in the off-road industry, general fabricating with specialized CNC cutting and forming, and our marine department creating pontoons and sub-frames for the houseboat industry.
