Steam Engineering has just moved into our new facility in Midland and is looking for a new team member to help with production demands.

General Assembly / Welding position:

Hours 7:00 am – 4:00 pm

Job Description:

  • MIG Welding Experience is considered a asset but not required.
  • Setup and operate hand and power tools
  • Examine work for defects, pressure test fabricated steam pipes
  • Cut, drill, bevel and grind metal parts to ensure proper fit-up for welding
  • General assembly of 3 Phase motors and Positive Displacement blowers, filter boxes, belt guards on fabricated frames.
  • clean, prep, prime and paint manufactured products.
  • Assemble and mount combustion chambers, water jackets, gas lines and water lines, electrical panels and VFDs
  • Install transformers, disconnects and run electrical EMT and run cables.
  • Install Insulation Board, plywood sheets and sheet steel

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and understand drawings.
  • Strong work ethic, Reliable – regular attendance is important and expected.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Self motivated, ability to work with little supervision or direction
  • Commitment to quality and workplace safety

Overtime required periodically as production and delivery schedules dictate.
Wages depend on experience and knowledge.
