About Neustar: Neustar Manufacturing is Neustar is a CWB Certified welding and fabrication shop of dump bodies and trailers. Our products include Neustar’ s in house manufactured and branded “HARDOX in MY BODY” certified steel dump bodies, landscaper, municipal bodies, flat decks, end dump trailers for the construction industry, and Neustar Grain Dump Bodies for the agricultural industry.

Neustar Truck Box and Trailer Manufacturing Inc Is currently searching for Sandblasters/Paint Prep to join our rapidly growing team. This position works out of our Winnipeg location with a schedule of 8-4:30 Monday to Friday with high potential for progressive roles.

Job Description: The Sandblaster and Paint Prep Sandblasts steel truck boxes and dump trailers using abrasive blasting media, then prepares the box for painting, including grinding, caulking, and inspecting product to meet quality requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Sandblasting procedures and paint preparation procedures.
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Neat, organized, and systematic work quality
  • Ability to receive verbal or written instructions that pertain to daily tasks
  • Ability to listen and take direction
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Demonstrate good hand and eye coordination
  • Can safely lift 50 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours
  • Able to work overtime as needed

Education & Training/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training and certificate desirable
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Sandblasting experience: 1+ year
  • Willing to train the right candidate for the position

Salary: $17.00-$21.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Employees only are allowed in the manufacturing areas. Departments are separated into bubbles to minimize contacts. Cleaning Protocols in Place and masks are optional.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Winnipeg, MB R3T 3N9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

  • sandblasting & painting: 2 years (preferred)
  • Automotive Body Repair & Refinishing Occupations: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • drivers license (preferred)
