Description:
Our client is looking for a General Laborer/Painter
Duties:
- operate forklift, hand truck, overhead crane or other equipment to load, unload and store goods
- attach slings, ropes and cables to objects such as pipes, beams, angles and flat bar
- prepare and clean surfaces for painting
- mix paint to desired color and texture
- apply primer, enamel and epoxy according to specifications using airless spray equipment, multi
ratio pump sprayer, conventional spray and paint brush
- operation of hand tools
- inspect and maintain machinery
- move freight, stock and other materials to and from storage
- load and unload items
- help production workers by supplying or holding materials or tolls and cleaning work areas and
equipment
Requirements:
- experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred
- ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs
- familiar with welding equipment and machinery is preferred
- forklift and overhead crane experience is an asset
Location: Kitchener
Shift: Monday to Thursday 7am-4:30pm
Friday 7am-3:30pm
Salary $18-$21 depending on experience
This is a permanent position and direct hire.
