General Labor Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled, reliable general labor to join our team. In this position, candidate will be responsible for assisting our journeyman welders & general labour around the shop & on sites. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential.
General Labor Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow project instructions from team leads / supervisors
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Ensure regulated and proper earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, steel toed boots are worn
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Safely operate a variety of tools including band saws, hand tools, drill press, , drills, saws, grinders
- Prepare & cut steel, prep parts & tack welding
- Provide assistance in welding shop, install new railing , deliver furniture, Clean and clear debris in shop & travel trailer
- Ensure equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly
General Labor Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent educational experience,trade apprenticeships a plus
- Ability to stand for extended period, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds
- Positive attitude and work ethic
- Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Class 5 valid licence
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
