Overview
Assist shop foreman in daily duties. Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products onto trucks. Delivers metal parts or stock to designated work areas for machining. Assembles steel parts and prepares parts as indicated in shop drawings. Operations include sawing, punching, drilling, grinding, chipping and flame cutting. Maintain various equipment and supplies. Cleaning of machines and work area. Removes metal chips and shavings from surfaces on machines and wipes surfaces of machines to remove excess oil.
Min experience: 1 year in a steel fabrication shop
