Overview

DECAST is the largest manufacturing facility for infrastructure products in Canada, including water transmission, bridges, storm and sanitary, tunnelling and engineered precast products. We are looking for an energetic team player to join our organization as a General Laborer/ Welder.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, your attention to detail combined with strong work ethic will support the various functions within your team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • General repairs and minor assembly for concrete form preparation
  • Minor finish of concrete pieces
  • Inspection and report on repairs and finishing
  • Maintenance, cleanliness and finalizing concrete pieces
  • Painting of bands
  • Tack welding when required

Education & Experience

  • High School or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Detail oriented and willing to complete hands-on concrete work
  • Safety focused
  • Good math skills
  • Construction and/or manufacturing experience is an asset but not required
  • 1 year of welding experience
