Hand Frit – Production Worker
Garibaldi Glass is seeking hardworking and reliable Production Worker in our Frit Department to join our team. This position will focus on completing hands on and manual printing on glass. If you are detail orientated, have the eye for detail, are organized and don’t mind a little hard work, then we will give you the skills to succeed.
This is a permanent full-time position – 40 hrs./week on our Day shift (6:30AM to 3:00PM)
As part of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Completing the safe and on-time fabrication of high quality, defect free glass for buildings and other structures
- Completing assigned tasks using safe work practices that comply with all company work rules and procedures
- Maintaining a high standard of quality products by following inspection processes, Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions to ensure defects are identified and are not passed along to the next department
- Ensuring effective and respective communication within team and with team members by participating in team discussions and daily huddles
- Maintaining a safe and clean work area, ensuring all items and supplies are maintained and stored properly
- Sharing ideas and ways to improve performance or quality, and being supportive of other team members’ ideas
What you bring:
- Experience working with hand tools – precision knife, drywall spatula, stencil, circle cutter
- Experience on silk screen printing on glass – preferred
- Previous glass experience – preferred
- Able to do heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs.) throughout an 8 hour shift
- Able to push and pull (up to 100 lbs.)
- Basic math: especially fractions
- Basic computer skills: able to input data into software, scan tags and send email
- Good comprehension of English (verbal & written)
- Strong attention to detail (eye for details, ability to follow instructions, and organization skills)
