Our AdvanTec Manufacturing Canada facility is looking for an energetic and eager to learn Glass Fabricator to join our Glass and Glazing Department in Chilliwack, BC.
The Glass Fabricator 1 is responsible for producing high quality glass for production jobs, this is achieved by getting glass ready for glazing; maintaining machinery; and off-loading glass deliveries.
Essential functions for this role are:

  • Hand arris glass to prep for the oven
  • Optimize and cut glass
  • Cut laminate glass from patterns
  • operate a tempering oven, drill press, Lovati, and glass washer
  • Buff scratches on glass with either a hand operated air gun or a glass buffing machine
  • Maintains machinery

If you have the following experience, qualifications and skills, we want to hear from you!

  • 1-4 years working with glass
  • High school education or GED equivalent
  • Forklift Ticket an asset
  • Good communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Basic computer skills
  • Able to stand for 8-10 hours
  • Periodic exposure to cold & hot temperatures
