Overview

Columbia Remtec Manufacturing is a Transport Canada and DOT certified cargo tank trailer manufacturer. We are currently seeking reliable, motivated production welders. Successful candidates must be experienced and punctual. Working knowledge of aluminum welding is required. Must be able to perform tasks that include, but not limited to the following:

  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, assembly drawings, specifications, etc.
  • Able to pass welding test/certifications for aluminum GMAW and/or GTAW
  • Fit-up amd weld parts, sub assemblies, container vessels, etc.
  • Correct and safe use of production tools
  • Work cooperatively with the production team
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
  • Able to work overtime as needed

Requirements and qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
  • 2 + years experience working in an industrial production environment
  • Math, reading and writing skills
  • Proficient mechanical skills
  • Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending and reaching
  • Able to operate industrial machinery and equipment

Work schedule will be Monday to Friday (6:15 am to 2:30 pm). Overtime may be available during the week and/or Saturdays. References are required.
