Your profile

Successful applicants need to have a minimum of 1-3 years of welding experience. Will need to have 6G welding certification and be skilled in use of manual SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW welding processes. Welding of carbon and stainless steel will be required. Experience in welding Inconel is a plus.

Your responsibilities

Applicants must have the ability to use shop mathematics, precision measuring equipment, follow blueprints, specifications, diagrams, schematics, and follow written work and verbal instructions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements

Minimum education required is a high school diploma or GED equivalent

1-3 yrs of Industrial Welding Experience

Be able to successfully pass or provide credentials for successful completion of CRC to include Industrial Reading, Math, Blueprint and Metrology written test.

Ability to pass a 6G Inconel Test weld test.

Ability to pass standard hearing, vision, and PFT tests.

Ability to use basic shop math; precision measuring equipment.

Ability to obtain fork truck and crane license.

The successful candidate will work within the Compressor Component products manufacturing area within Siemens Energy Gas Turbine products division. Success is dependent upon flexibility in working urgent priorities and effectively completing daily work assignments day to day.

This position offers an opportunity for hands on welding experience of Gas Turbine components with potential for growth into the higher levels of the Siemens Energy skills framework.
