Job Title: Welder -B

Reports to: Welder Leadman

Job Type: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Location: 27807 Red Fox Rd, Tomball, TX 77377

SUMMARY: Welds materials using a variety of processes primarily FCAW and GMAW

REQUIRED COMPENTENCIES

Produces quality welds as specified in work order.

Follows welding procedures and directions of supervisor.

Uses basic welders tools and equipment.

Performs general daily maintenance tasks and checks of welding equipment

Upkeep and cleanliness of work areas.

Follow company safety & security guidelines

Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.

Other duties as needed.

DESIRED Essential duties and responsibilities

Operates forklift and other material handling equipment to move materials and manipulate workpiece.

Previous experience

Use of barcode and computer equipment to record production operations

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

2 years experience required

Shop math

Blueprint reading

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employee may be required to do the following: climbing into and out of equipment; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands, fingers and feet to operate tools and equipment; lifting up to 30 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction. The employee is frequently required to sit while performing the duties of this job (approx. 20%) walk (70%) stand (10%) sit. The employee is expected to lift or move materials (25% of workday)

MENTAL DEMANDS

Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; reading and interpreting information; judging distances and accurately; following oral and/or written directions; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards
