Jardeg is recruiting Welder Journeypersons with B-Pressure to join the Suncor Fort Hills Maintenance Primary Extraction project team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a regular, full-time position on a 7/7 shift schedule.
Welders join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, make metal parts used in construction and manufacturing plants, and weld parts, tools, machines and equipment. Welders develop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints and work orders, as well as clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch and welding parts together.
Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements:
Journeyperson Certification and/or Interprovincial Red Seal
Alberta B-Pressure ticket or equivalent if from another province
Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS 09 or CSTS 2020) Certification
Aerial Work Platform
OSSA or Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest or Fall Protection
OSSA or Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space
Overhead Crane & Rigging
Driver’s License and a clean 5 year Driver’s Abstract
Fit Test
CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) – All position Stick ticket
Welding tickets and/or welder performance qualification testing required – as per Site’s Performance Qualification testing of welder’s guideline:

This is a fly-in/fly-out position and as such will be subject to the Government of Canada’s mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirements:As per Federal guidelines, as of December 1st, 2021, anyone who is to board a charter flight must be able to provide proof of full vaccination (+14 days), please ensure you bring proof with you to the flight center and allow for at least 2 hours prior to flight departure.
