Job Description:
It is a permanent position based on our client site in Whitecourt and is expected to start immediately. There is no LOA available for this role. This position works on a Monday to Friday schedule with 10-hour shifts.

What would you be doing?

Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.

Recognize defective welds, know the cause, and repair procedure for the defective area.

Fuse metals safely and effectively using prescribed welding applications.

Perform tasks in accordance with industry quality and production standards.

May operate metal shaping machines, such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines.

Journeyman Welder certification.

B-Pressure ticket.

Carbon and SS Tig Welding certifications.

CWB ticket an asset.

Valid WHMIS ticket.

Required to manage heavy materials and stand for extended periods.

Are adaptable and can work in a team environment.

Have safety as a top priority.

The Employee rate is $50.29, and the DSP rate is $61.10.

Monday – Thursday schedule with 10-hour shifts.

Benefits after 300 hours worked.

Other important details

This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
